Little Egg Harbor, NJ measures 73.03 square miles and is located in Southern Ocean County.  Bordering municipalities include Tuckerton, Manahawkin, and Barnegat.  There are several communities in the township including Mystic Islands, Atlantis, Parkertown, Nugentown, Osborn Island and many more.  Also in the township are five adult 55+ communities.  Several communities are on the mainland, but there are also several waterfront communities in the town.

There are numerous businesses in Little Egg Harbor, several of them being marinas.  Also located in the township are a variety of restaurants, a few banks, some drug stores, etc.  There are a few stores in town but most of the shopping is in Manahawkin, which is five miles north on the Garden State Parkway. 

Little Egg Harbor Township School District has two elementary Schools - George J. Mitchell houuses graded Pre-K through 6th grade and Frog Pond houses grades K-6.  Pinelands Regional School District consists of the middle school (grades 7-9) and the high school (grades 10-12). There are also a couple private preschool/daycares in the town.

Little Egg Harbor offer many activities and events throughout the year, including a Memorial Day Parade and celebration.
